The best vehicle dynamics engineers know how to subjectively assess a car by pushing it to the limit, and beyond, and safely recover. In rapidly advancing countries such as India, China, Korea and Brazil, there is a wealth of theoretical vehicle dynamics knowledge, yet vehicle development is largely objective and mostly CAD-based. OEMs come to Pro2 to accelerate the understanding of the physical process of developing a new car, from designing NVH tests to appraising ergonomics for interior car design and articulating and tweaking steering torque.
Unlike some training programmes, for which engineers are flown overseas, we believe in conducting training in local conditions, using the actual vehicles on the roads for which they are designed. Besides technical factors such as appraising how the car reacts in the right temperature and when using the right tyre compounds and vehicle set up, locally-based training can be more cost effective. More engineers can be included within the budget, and so can others such as vehicle technicians.
